This free workshop provides teachers with resources and lessons for teaching economics and the opportunity to network with other local economics teachers! Volunteers needed for Junior Achievement Program at Buena Vista Horace Mann K-8 School in SF's Mission District
Volunteers are needed to deliver the curriculum "JA Finance Park Virtual", which helps students build a foundation upon which they can make intelligent financial decisions that last a lifetime, including decisions related to income, expenses, savings, and credit. The program is ongoing from January to May, 2015. There is one lesson a week, from 12:45-1:45 pm, and volunteers can sign up for 1 or more lessons. The title of each lesson is included on the sign up site, allowing volunteers to choose a topic of personal interest. All materials will be provided for the volunteer, as will necessary training for new volunteers. The school is located one block from 24th Street BART station.
