BAFEF Program Partner - SIFMA Foundation
BAFEF is proud to provide ongoing support for the SIFMA Foundation, who organizes the annual InvestWrite Competition and The Stock Market Game for students in grades 4-12 throughout the US.
Congratulations to all of this year's winners!
The winners of the 2013 Northern California Regional Stock Market Game and Investwrite Competition were honored at the annual Awards Ceremony, which was held Friday, May 17th 2013 at the Giannini Auditorium in San Francisco. Nearly 100 students attended the ceremony, and enjoyed opening remarks by BAFEF President Ted Jablonski and CurrenC SF Program Manager Jacob DuMez from the Office of the Treasurer, City and County of San Francisco. All of the winning students and teams were acknowledged with awards and prizes. The students also gave inspirational acceptance speeches, highlighting what they learned from the experience. The winning team in the 15-week elementary division (both Fall and Spring Stock Market Game competitions) was Ann Fleischer's class from Tom Matsumoto Elementary in San Jose. These exceptional students had a special message for BAFEF - check out the video below!
NFTE Bay Area Gala on June 6th!
Recently, more than 50 classroom competition winners from all over the Bay Area competed in the Network For Teaching Entrepreneurship Bay Area's Semi-Final Business Plan Competition. Congratulations to Fiona Gee, Simran Pabla, Juny Nguyen, and Alex Murillo (pictured below), who advanced and will present at the Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge on June 6th for the opportunity to win $1,500 and advance to the NFTE National Competition!
