Welcoming Erik Satre, CPA to BAFEF’s Board of Directors

BAFEF is excited to announce the appointment of Erik Satre, CPA, to our Board of Directors. Starting November 1, 2022, Erik will be serving a three-year term, bringing his extensive expertise and passion for financial literacy to our leadership team.

Erik Satre has been a dedicated volunteer teacher for BAFEF since the inception of our Student Workshop Program, contributing his knowledge and enthusiasm to the Curriculum Committee. His deep commitment to financial education aligns perfectly with our mission to empower students across the Bay Area.

Erik's professional background further strengthens our board. He currently serves as a Finance Strategist at Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the Cloud Economics group, where he assists large companies in understanding the economic impacts of transitioning to the Cloud. With over a decade of experience as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Strategic Advisor in Finance and Analytics, Erik brings a wealth of knowledge and a fresh perspective to our organization.

Erik holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Santa Clara University and an MBA from the University of Michigan. We look forward to the innovative ideas and energy he will bring to our board as we work together to enhance financial literacy and make a lasting impact.
