Empowering Young Women: BAFEF Partners with SF Oasis for Girls
BAFEF had the honor of working with SF Oasis for Girls, an inspiring nonprofit dedicated to empowering young women of color from under-resourced communities in San Francisco. BAFEF volunteers April Antonio, CFP® and Lena Robinson brought their expertise and passion for financial literacy to this impactful program.
SF Oasis for Girls, which serves young women aged 14-18, focuses on cultivating essential skills, knowledge, and confidence to help these future leaders discover their dreams and build strong, successful futures. The partnership with BAFEF allowed these young women to gain valuable insights into managing their finances, an area crucial for personal and professional success.
"BAFEF volunteers April and Lena brought tremendous enthusiasm to our high school girls. In their end-of-program reflections, many students highlighted the financial literacy lessons as a standout part of their experience," shares Gabi Garzon Gupta, Program Coordinator at Oasis for Girls. This feedback underscores the significance of the financial education provided and its positive impact on the participants.
At BAFEF, we are thrilled to support organizations like SF Oasis for Girls and contribute to the financial empowerment of young women. By equipping them with a solid foundation of financial knowledge, we help set them on a path to a bright and secure future.
