BAFEF Celebrates Milestone: 4,000 Students Empowered with Financial Literacy

On July 1, 2022, the Bay Area Financial Education Foundation (BAFEF) proudly reached a significant milestone—over 4,000 Bay Area students have benefited from our Student Workshop program since its launch in March 2020. This achievement marks a major step forward in our mission to provide essential financial literacy education to young people across the region.

"We’re thrilled with the success of our program and deeply appreciate the support from our dedicated volunteers in the financial community," says Tina Marchetti, Executive Director of BAFEF. This milestone not only highlights the impact of our financial education workshops but also reflects the growing need for comprehensive financial literacy programs for students.

Our Student Workshop program, designed to impart crucial financial knowledge and skills, has been instrumental in empowering students with practical tools for managing their finances effectively. From budgeting and understanding credit to investing and planning for college, our curriculum addresses key areas of financial literacy that are essential for future success.

Looking ahead, BAFEF is committed to scaling our program further to reach even more students. We are excited to announce a volunteer recruitment campaign set to launch in Fall 2022, aimed at expanding our infrastructure and resources. We invite community members to get involved and contribute to our mission by volunteering to teach or joining one of our committees.
